SANJA MLINARIČ

As a soloist and chamber musician Sanja is committed to a great variety of classical and contemporary repertoire. 

 

Being an accordionist, it brings Sanja a special kind of joy to try out the ideas, that were previously deemed impossible. She brought her instrument in the spotlight as the first accordionist to be awarded “Boris Pergamenschikow Prize” in 2019 as well as the “Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize” in 2022.

Moreover Sanja is the absolute winner and recipient of the "Anguissola Scotti Prize" at the Val Tidone Competition in 2019.

 

Since 2017 she is the founding member of Trio Tempestoso.

 

Sanja has performed in concert houses such as Philharmonie Berlin, Elbphilharmonie, Berliner Konzerthaus, Musikverein Graz, Slovenian Philharmonic,... and played on festivals throught Europe: Unerhörte Musik in Germany, the slovenian Festival Ljubljana, Du Vert á L'Infini in France…

Her recordings were aired by Austrian Radio "Ö1", German “Deutschlandfunk”, Slovenian “Radio Slovenija” and Radio New Zealand.

 

Sanja studied accordion in Graz (Austria) with Janne Rättyä and is currently studying chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Professor Martin Spangenberg.
