
SANJA MLINARIČ
As a soloist and chamber musician, Sanja Mlinarič is dedicated to a wide-ranging repertoire of both classical and contemporary music.
As an accordionist, Sanja finds particular joy in exploring ideas once considered impossible. She brought the accordion into the spotlight as the first accordionist to receive the Boris Pergamenschikow Prize in 2019, as well as the Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize in 2022.In addition, she was the overall winner and recipient of the Anguissola Scotti Prize at the Val Tidone Competition in 2019.
Since 2017, she has been a founding member of Trio Tempestoso.
Sanja has performed in concert venues such as the Philharmonie Berlin, Elbphilharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Musikverein Graz, and the Slovenian Philharmonic. She has also appeared at numerous festivals across Europe, including Wien Modern, Unerhörte Musik, the Ljubljana Festival, and Du Vert à l’Infini.
Her recordings have been broadcast by Austrian radio Ö1, German Deutschlandfunk, Slovenian Radio Slovenija, and Radio New Zealand.
Sanja studied accordion in Graz (Austria) with Professor Janne Rättyä and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin with Professor Martin Spangenberg.
