Combining orchestral richness with the intimacy of chamber music, Trio Tempestoso creates an immersive listening experience in the distinctive sound world of clarinet, accordion and cello. Through thoughtfully curated programmes, the ensemble invites audiences to rediscover familiar repertoire through nuanced colours and perspectives.
Based in Berlin, Trio Tempestoso brings together Andraž Golob (clarinet), bass clarinettist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Sanja Mlinarič (accordion) and Katarina Leskovar (cello).
Trio Tempestoso has performed across Europe at venues including Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie Berlin and Musikverein Graz. Its performances have been broadcast by Deutschlandfunk, Ö1, Radio Slovenia, Radio Belgrade and Radio New Zealand.
The ensemble has received the Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize in 2022 and the Boris Pergamenschikow Prize in 2019. At the latter competition, held under the patronage of Tatjana Pergamenschikow and Sir András Schiff, the jury praised the trio’s “high-quality instrumental interpretation” and its “exciting performance bridging classical roots with a forward-looking musical language
Trio Tempestoso completed its Master’s degree in Chamber Music at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, under the guidance of Professor Martin Spangenberg.
